    According to all of the This PC folders there is a phantom user on my computer. Every folder there says it's deejh that is the user. However, I went into Command Prompt as an administrator and this is what it says are the users on my Lenovo:As you can see, there as no user account deejh there! BUT, if I go to Windows under My PC and open the Users folder this is what's there:There's that phantom user that shows up nowhere else. It doesn't even show in the Users on the Control Panel!So my question is, how do I get rid of that phantom user? * Moved from Community Center

    W10 phantom user account...how do I get rid of it

    Please open the Command Prompt by typing cmd.exe into Start Menu, right-click on Cmd.exe, and open it as an administrator.

    Execute following command to find out if it list "phantom" account:

    Phantom account problem unresolved

    Definitely not a virus.

    Rather, I started getting that phantom user when trying to get rid of the annoying password requirement of Windows 10 using netplwiz as suggested by some here.

    Not only does the program not do it, but now I end up with a phantom user that can't be deleted.
