    HI All, when i run get-service be it local machine or remote machine it displays the machine name in output as "." instead of the name i want the machine name to be displayed instead can someone please help

    Get Microsoft account to desplay correct machine names?

    My MS account shows two copies of one machine name. I suspect this happened when I upgraded my desktop's mobo/processor and cloned the old hardrive to a new faster drive. Now there are two copies of the machine listed in the MS Account. I'd like to remove the old one but don't know which it is both show the same info in "details".

    Also, I've discovered that renaming the machine through windows does not transfer to the MS Account. I renamed the upgraded desk top, and a laptop to include Lenovo the name. Both show the new names but the MS account does not.

    All machines are Win 10.

    host machine name

    Your instructions say ...the "host_machine" is the machine where you have manually launched the myservice


    The 'Full computer name' from your screenshot is the one to use, but it must be the one from whichever machine you 'manually launched the myservice' on.
