Windows 10: Getting 0x00000bbb error with Ricoh printer install in Windows 11, Epson ET3830 works perfectly

Just upgraded to a new PC in my home office. I have two printers. One is an Epson ET3830 and it installed perfectly on the network and prints fine from the PC or my iphone. Installed the driver for my SP C440DN Ricoh printer and it also installs perfectly via USB 2.0 cable. However even trying to print a test page I get the 0x00000bbb error that it can not create a print job. I have uninstalled and reinstalled four times. I downloaded their service manager app which is supposed to help with this situation but still get the same error. It is as if the PC doesn't recognize the Ricoh prin

Mmmm, only thing else I can think off is trying Windows Update, otherwise I too am clueless, LOL. I just had a look on the Epson site and they didn't even list a driver for mine under W7, but it worked in W7 when I tried it, even had the epson control panel. Well, until there was a sickening sound of broken plastic and it went west, but thats another story, LOL.

Can you test the printer on another PC by any chance?

this is doing my head in..*Bang Head :banghead:
havent used the printer in a while.went to use it,and the my pc didnt recognize
my printer anymore
so i uninstalled all software.
went to reinstall again.inserted the usb cable
then get error "device driver software was not successfully installed"

used the cd supplied and downloaded the software and drivers from epson
website

now my first thoughts were compatiability issues with win 7
but i have it working before

your thoughts???

My Epson R300 was detected automatically by W7, didn't need to install any extra drivers, W7 had them already (although that may be because its an old printer, depends how new yours is). I'd try removing the epson software, plugging in the printer and uninstall through Device Manager (selecting remove software). Reboot and see if its useable then.
