    Getting 100% CPU usage with no app running.


    I'm facing a issue for last 2 weeks, my system consumes 100% CPU distributing the cpu usage to every app even the app is not running. Service controller, nvidia itself start consuming 20% of my cpu capacity. And due to this my system freezes and I have to hard restart it. Checked all my drivers, rolled backed my windows to last update and even tried booting into safe mode. After restart the system works fine for 20-25 mins sometimes 40-45 mins but the same problem start after that. Tried almost all solution available on web.

    cpu usage at 100%

    CPU usage at 100% from start up for no apparently good reason. Service Host appears to be the problem but I cant narrow it down more than that at present.

    Any suggestions?

    I am using Windows 10 full release version 64 bit.

    Sticky Notes 2.0.5.0 cpu usage 100%

    This version seems to keep CPU usage in check.

    I have noticed an anomaly (NOT a problem, just curious): if I run task manager, Sticky Notes appears in the Background Process list; if I hide the notes by clicking on the taskbar icon, Sticky Notes appears in the Apps list with other foreground processes.
    In either list the CPU usage is nil, so I'm happy.

    I tried all above method you mentioned but still my newly installed windows 10 pro without any software or app running. CPU usage is 100%. I also attached the snap shot of task manager.

    brother i just switch from windows 8.1 which was running very fine. but as I update to windows 10 after 3-4 days CPU usage to 100%. then I Created the Bootable usb of windows 10. and installed new windows yesterday. But still my CPU usage is 100% .

    Processor i5 2310

    Ram 8GB
