Windows 10: Getting a blank dark screen while updating to Windows 20H2.

Hey guys. So I've been trying to update my Windows to the latest version. The problem I received was that somewhere around 40%, the screen just goes complete blank. Even after waiting, everything's still blank. Now I was stressing out a little since I'm a student and I need my laptop for basically everything. Because of that, I decided to hard reset my PC. It worked, it said something along the lines of "reverting your pc" or something like that. But after that, the login screen came up and I logged in, it gave me a notification that my update was cancelled.


I was like, "Screw this, not doing it again", and I didn't update. A month later though, Windows gives me a new notification, saying that I should update again since my version is getting old. I decided to update again and the same thing happened.


So now, I don't know what to do. I tried updating my Graphics Card but it didn't work either. What should I do? I also posted this on Reddit for more answers..

Black screen after Windows update.

• When the screen was blank, were you able to see the cursor on the screen?
  
• Did you get any error code or error message?

Re-started Windows Explorer: My screen went blank/dark blue

1. My taskbar disappeared first. I opened task manager and found Windows Explorer at the bottom of the processes.

2. I pressed re-start and normally, the screen goes back to normal. I didn't do the steps you list in 2.

3. No. I just get the list.

4. I restarted my computer and nothing changes. I turned it off and waited, then turned it back on. I get the sign on screen. Enter my password and then the dark blue screen appears.

That 's it.
