Windows 10: Getting "A required privilege is not held by the client" error when trying to open .jpg...

After the last Windows Update, I am unable to open any .jpg images on my D: drive. This was not a problem a mere two weeks ago. When I try to open an image, I get the "A required privilege is not held by the client" error, with no error code. I can open PDF files, MS Office files, install applications, access any files except images. Nothing on my Comodo Internet Security has changed. Every "fix" I find online talks about fixing things so executables can be run, but nothing deals with how to get pictures to open. My account is the only profile on the computer, so by default it is the Administ

I followed all the steps here but my problem has not been resolved.

When I try to run a new program (as Administrator) I get error

"A required privilege is not held by the client "

I'm using an ASUS laptop with Windows 10

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hello. I am running Windows 10 on my PC and I have recently started getting an error message. The error occurs when I try to open some .exe files, but not all. The message reads "a required privilege is not held by
the client". I can`t find a solution, and I only found a couple of people who have the same problem.

In the past week or so I have on occasions but not always been getting the message “ A required privilege is not held by the client” as screenshot below whenever Windows 10 Home launches.
Why and what does it refer to?
