Windows 10: Getting a Sign in from Internet Explorer every time I restart my PC

Since about three hours ago whenever I restart my PC I get a sign in attempt to my account. I have made the following observations:- The signs occur whenever I restart my PC, I have timed this to the minute.- I am using 2fa, so it says it requests additional verification.- After I changed my password the sign in attempts no longer worked, likely using my old password.- The sign ins are being done through Internet Explorer.- The IP address is my IP address, the same that has signed in before and since.- The first incident occurred after I updated my AVG Free, although I do not know how reliable

Microsoft Internet Explorer renamed to Windows Internet Explorer ?




Since version 7 of the world`s most popular web browser - Microsoft Internet Explorer was silently renamed to Windows Internet Explorer.Such a step from Microsoft is not a surprise since Internet Explorer is part of the Windows operation system for a long time.Obviously Microsoft corp. wants to state that Internet Explorer is already considered as a part of Windows and not as an external browser (remember the IE and WMP law issues last year!?).

 

Stuck on Internet Explorer page after Sign in

I suggest you to open Task manager and try to close Internet Explorer and check if you are able to get the desktop, and try to reboot and check if the same issue occurs. Refer to the below steps:

• Press and hold Ctrl + Shift + Esc
• Select Internet Explorer
• Click on End task and check if you are able to boot to the desktop.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and also check whether multiple Internet explorer process are running at the same time.

• Press Ctrl + Alt + Del
• Open Task manager.
• Click on Detail Tab.
• You will see Internet Explorer.
• Right Click and End Task.
• Restart the computer.
