Windows 10: getting a windows 10

I want to know that if i download windows 10 like literally right now dated :10/07/2018 from insider preview or via media creation tool, My question : is the insider preview version is activated ? i mean that one can download it through insider preview and also one can get that one which gets downloaded when using windows media creation tool?? I am really confused which one should i download and get a activated windows.
