Windows 10: Getting an AMOLED-friendly windows color theme

I'm not too familiar with windows, but it seems to have changed its color scheme after a clean reinstall. Before that, the background colors used to be black close to #000000, but now it's changed to some sort of goofy dark gray, and it hurts my eyes badly. I tried using the high contrast mode to get that black background back, but it just doesn't feel right. Are there any ways to restore the old black color scheme?

Personalize colors and themes on Windows 10

To assist you with your concern on the pictures being dark on Windows 10, you can try to play around with the colors and themes that will suit you.

Here are the steps to customize your color and theme:

• Click on Windows logo.
• Click on Settings.
• Click on Personalization.
• Select Colors.
• Make sure that the Automatically pick an accent color from my background is turned off.
• Select the color that you like from the grid of colors.

Wallpaper (background) color

Close all open windows, restart the computer once and then login to the computer to check if that helps.

Further you may also want to ensure that default theme is selected. Follow these steps:

Win-10 themes keep changing

Thank you for providing the information.

• Did you try the steps suggested by Suvarna Govinda above, what was the result?

As I understand the issue, Themes in Windows doesn't have the options to change on its own. Only the Wallpapers in the themes can change as selected ( Picture, Solid color and Slide Show ).

I would suggest you to make us understand that if the Wallpapers are changing in Theme which you have selected.

Below are the steps you can check if it helps.

• Press Windows + I keys and select Personalization.
• Select Theme and select the Default theme.
• Select the Desktop Background below and select the Picture
  and save it and check.
