Windows 10: Getting black screen when i press f12 or alt tab

I got a new monitor today, and when im like in the game Valorant or Resident Evil 7 and press f12 to skip the song or alt tab to get into another application i get a black screen for like 2-3 seconds and it goes away and i get immediately another black screen for like 2 seconds. i checked all of my drivers and i also switched cables hdmi and dp both didnt work. Im not sure if this is a monitor or game problem. This problem occurred when i got the new monitor.I have the ACER NITRO XZ2 monitor

CTRL ALT DEL Black Screen

• Have you installed all pending updates?
• Are you able to log into Desktop?
• Is the issue specific to Ctrl + Alt + Del screen?

Black screen error can occur if the computer is not up to date with all Drivers and Windows updates. Install all pending updates and check if that helps.

alt + tab not working

Just found a really cool way to make alt+tab INSTANT!!!

In the launch options write the following: -windowed -noborder





This play exactly the same as fullscreen but now you dont have to wait 30 f*@!ing seconds to alt+tab back in!

Also you don't get the little purple/black checkered effect (only in Source games) from alt+tabbing in fullscreen.

 

ALT+TAB Just Sits On Screen


Just a crazy suggestion but have your Windows and ALT keys got swapped or confused. Your work computer behaviour sounds more like the Windows + Tab keys are being pressed.
