    Getting BSOD due to nvlddmkm.sys

Recently I have been getting constant BSOD's due to a file called nvlddmkm.sys failing, after looking through C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository I've found the file, however there is two of them with one being added on 3/17/23 and the other which was added on 12/2/20. I beleive that these two are conflicting with each other and is why I have been getting these BSOD's very recently though I am afraid of editing them in any was and possibly causing more damage to my PC. Keep in mind I have done everything I could think of in order to fix this issue updating graphics drivers, uninsta

    Hi Asellia,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

What driver versions have you tried currently for your graphics?
If it is the newest version, 361.43, try rolling back the drivers.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Getting nvlddmkm error in event viewer, game crashing

I already ran sfc scannow yesterday, as well as DISM checkhealth, neither returned error. I didn't run DISM restorehealth or chkdsk though, is it still needed?

Btw I'm not getting any BSOD's or any windows problems, only issue is game is freezing and crashing.

    dxgmms2.sys BSOD

    Hello,

A while back, my computer lost power while it was installing windows updates. Since then, I've had BSODs every couple days, with various errors pointing to a driver error. These were annoying, but manageable. I tried a few basic troubleshooting steps, like
using a removal tool for my graphics card drivers and reinstalling, but I didn't do much else.

The last couple days, the BSOD rate has ramped up, and I started seeing "dxgmms2.sys" get listed in the BSODs, which is relatively new.

    I followed the instructions
    here.

And here are my dmp files resulting from that:

    Thanks.
