Hi everyone. Basically the title. A bit more about laptop and system. I7 12700H RTX3060 laptop 32GB Ram upgraded by myself from 16 Windows 11 Pro 22H2 Bought in May this year. Windows is the one which i got with device. I'm upgrading GPU drivers every time i got notifications about update, so it is out of question, that drivers can be outdated. Please note again, that i'm constantly getting updates both for windows and GPU, so outdated drivers and system is out of question. I also can't say that issue has consisten character, you can't know when you will see the next BSOD screen. Last time

  2. BSOD with error code: VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I understand that you are facing issues with your PC as you receive BSOD with the error code VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL. I certainly appreciate your efforts in sharing the necessary details to analyze the issue.

The VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL bug check has a value of 0x0000010E. This indicates that the video memory manager has encountered a condition that it is unable to recover from.

Upon checking the dump files, I found that the file dxgmms2.sys is causing the BSOD on the system.

I would suggest you to uninstall the graphics drivers and then re-install them from the

    manufacturer website
    to see if that helps.

    1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for ‘Run’.
    2. In Run dialog box, type ‘devmgmt.msc’ and hit enter.
    3. Expand Display Adapters.
    4. Right click on the Display drivers and click on
      Uninstall.
    5. Check the box Delete the driver software for this device.
    6. Click on OK.
    7. Do not restart the PC.

In addition, I see that there is a BIOS update available for the PC. You can also try updating the BIOS and see if that helps. The BIOS update can be downloaded from the

    manufacturer website
    .

Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from
the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk

If the issue persist, please get back to us with the results of the troubleshooting steps to assist you further.

  3. VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL BSOD 0x0000010e

    VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL BSOD

I recently used an SDD from an old laptop that no longer works, that SDD has a windows 10. I started my new laptop my old SDD to be able to get information. Since then I have been getting blue screens on my laptop with my current SDD. They are like 1 or 2 per week and I get VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL.

I installed windows 10 again and still with the same problem. I have already checked the RAM memory and I do not get any problem. I have run the commands for the disk like scannow and chkdsk and nothing has fixed that. If you could guide me I would be very grateful.

Here are the memory.dmp and my system information

    VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL BSOD 0x0000010e

    Hello,OSCAR LIZARRAGA PELAYO

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on the provided BSOD log, it appears that the system encountered a VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL bugcheck (error code 10e) during the execution of the dwm.exe process (Desktop Window Manager). The video memory manager encountered a condition that it could not recover from, leading to the crash.

See more details from this article-<Bug Check 0x10E VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL - Windows drivers | Microsoft Learn>

The specific error parameters are as follows:

    • Arg1: 000000000000002a (subtype of the bugcheck)
    • Arg2: ffffdb0e0f92cf70 (address of the video memory manager)
    • Arg3: 0000000000000001
    • Arg4: 0000000000000000
The stack trace indicates that the crash occurred in the dxgmms2.sys driver (DirectX Graphics MMS2), specifically in the VIDMM_GLOBAL:Getting BSOD VIDEO_MEMORY_MANAGEMENT_INTERNAL on MSI Creator Z16 :DestroyOneAllocation function.

Given the nature of the crash, it is likely related to issues with the graphics driver or the video memory management system. To troubleshoot and resolve the issue, you can try the following steps:

    • Use the DDU graphics card uninstall tool to uninstall the current graphics card driver. Such drivers can generally be obtained by contacting the official website of the graphics card. In general, the newer version of the driver may not be the best, you can try the older version of the driver and see how the problem manifests. Or just use the graphics driver pushed by Windows Update.
    • Also, you can try running in safe mode. This mode invokes the most basic set of Windows basic drivers. Observe how the problem behaves in this mode:
