Getting daily BSOD's after upgrading to Windows 11

Please find mini dump file results below and kindly offer any assitance.Note, I have removed memory modules one at a time with no improvement. I also have a new desktop case power supply on order.I noted the file states "OSNAME: Windows 10". Not sure why it would not state Windows 11. Machinie was upgraded to Windows 11 from Windows 10. Wishing I never had now, because my formerly very stable PC is now junk. A fresh load of Windows 11 would be a nightmare for me, hence doing the upgrade as recommended by MS.************* Preparing the environment for Debugger Extensions Gallery repositor

    Daily BSOD

    Hello,

I am getting a BSOD every day around the same time (4-5 AM) for the past week or two. For your convenience, I have uploaded the Minidumps here: MemDumps

    What I have tried:

    • Updating all drivers
    • Upgrading to Windows 11
    • Memtest (came back clean)
    • verifier (put me in a BSOD loop, suspecting a driver could be the issue here)
    • Uninstall programs
    • Removing peripherals
I'm getting errors from BlueScreenView on the following (these vary depending on the BSOD):

    • ntoskrnl.exe
    • WdFilter.sys
    • Wdf01000.sys
    • vhf.sys
The dumps from 4/15/24 are the most recent. The ones from 4/14/24 (showing WdFilter, Wdf01000, and vhf) are all from running verifier

I can provide specs if needed. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

  3. Upgrading to windows 11

I have a few questions about windows 11...

    1. How many GB it is? when my pc suggested the upgrade yesterday, it said it's about 4GB just want to be sure.
    2. I'm using a windows 10 pro so if I upgrade, will it upgrade to a windows 11 pro?

    Windows 11 BSODs

I've been having multiple daily BSODs that reference ntoskrnl.exe. I've not been able to narrow down the root cause, and have been trying for a few months.

I've researched the typical causes, and have followed the steps commonly outlined:

    1. Driver Updates: Drivers are updated.
    2. BIOS updated and is current
    3. Ran a scan with the Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool: All ok
    4. Ran Memtest86: All ok
    5. Ran the System File Checker (SFC)/CHKDSK: All ok
    6. SFC / DISM: All ok
    7. Driver Verifier - ran this but the generated BSOD didn't provide more intel.
    8. No over-clocking present
    My dump files: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1l6O-f08RMwibjuT61OTXp6Amq2rEDLgs?usp=sharing

    Symptoms:

    1. Randomly timed BSODs. Some generate dumps (see link above), some do not. No particular actions seem to trigger them - often they happen overnight.

    2. Daily periods (generally in the AM) of instability. Apps crash (and re-open after a few tries), browsers get a "Status Access Violation" error, services crash and restart (e.g., Indexing, etc.), etc.

    3. After such a period, I'll often go for several hours with no issues. It seems that there is something that happens in the background but only during certain times of the day.

    4. I cannot apply the latest W11 Cumulative Update. It applies to about 20%, restarts, BSODs (System Thread Exception), and then restarts to the "Something went wrong" error and back to Windows without update applied.

    My specs are:

    - 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13900K

    - RAM: 64.0 GB

    - Windows 11 22621.1702

    - Asus Z790 Maximus Hero motherboard (BIOS 1402)

    - Video: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090, Driver version 537.58 (current as of 10/15/23)

I assume I have a problematic driver somewhere in the mix, and I've spent months trying to hunt it down. Any suggestions are appreciated!
