Windows 10: Getting directly to my files in file explorer?

When I used to click on the file explorer button in the bottom task bar it used to take me directly to a window that showed documents, downloads, pictures, etc. This was in Windows 10.Now, with Windows 11, when I click on it it takes me to devices & drives. I then have to double click through 4 different windows to get to my computer, i.e. Windows C; then go down the list to Users and then to my computers name to be able to get to my documents or downloads folder. It is a real pain in the ****! What can I do to make the file explorer to take me directly to my named computer file?Thanks

I am sorry to know that the File Explorer is not working on the Taskbar.

I suggest you to right-click on it to unpin it from the task bar.

Then search for File Explorer in Search. Then right-click on it to Pin it to Taskbar.

If the issue persists, try the steps below.

• 
  Type CMD in Search. Right click on it to run as an administrator.
  
• 
  Type the following 4 commands at the Command prompt:
  

dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

sfc /scannow

powershell

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers |Where-Object {$_.InstallLocation -like "*SystemApps*"} | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

  Close the CMD window.
  
• 
  Check to see if the issue is resolved. If not, restart the PC.

FIle Explorer not Internet Explorer in Windows 10

• How are you accessing File Explorer?
• What happens when you open file Explorer?

I suggest you to press the Windows key + E to directly open File Explorer.

rar files opens directly without save

Hello friends,
I've one query..
by mistake i selected option "open this type of file directly" while downloading one rar file from my browser.

After than if i click on any rar file link or attachment in forum, regardless of size it opens directly without asking to save to any path option..

how to revert this change?
