Windows 10: Getting documents out of a corrupted C: from X:

I want to access my C: drive on a corrupted laptop to recover my documents but there are a couple of problems I'm hitting.**The troubles:** - C: is not a recognized file system- the laptop is locked in repair mode- there are no backups of the system- repair cmd opens from X:/windows/system32 - cannot open C: due to it having an unrecognized file system.The general fixes I have tried but haven't worked: - startup repair: failed multiple times- sfc /scannow: scans X:, not C:- windows reinstallation: stopped after getting prompt stating there was no recognized windows system on laptop does not

Corrupt Word Document Overnight?

try saving a copy of one of the corrupt files to RTF, then open the document in wordpad and see what you have then, it sometimes works.

 

Can VGA BIOS get corrupted?

VGA BIOS's can certainly get corrupt... although im not sure whether its possible to while ur loading stuff... i woulda thought its main "danger" time would either be flashing the BIOS (obviously its most dangerous time) or while the card is at its peak of booting from the BIOS (doubt that'd corrupt it though........)

my recommendation would b if TPU has ur cards bios in there database.. try downloading it & get some software (either a TPU article or a google seach will find enough info) to flash it 2 ur card...

i cant guarantee that this is the problem.. but if it were me.. these are steps i'd probably take...
or u can wait for some other suggestions...
