Windows 10: Getting Error 122 while installing chrome

I tried re-installing google chrome because of version out-of date shown but I am getting error 122. I uninstalled it through Windows Add/Remove programs. When installing I got "the installer encountered error 122". I went to regedit and uninstalled Google directory and google folder from program files. But still getting this error. Please help me.

+1 to listing your full system specs, OS version, etc. I did only look at your BSOD log file.

Run a Diskchk /R (I know you already ran one, so you can skip this)

Run SFC /SCANNOW

Report back.

As you mention the problem only occur on chrome, I would suggest you to clear cookies and history from the setting.

Also, if the error still persists try uninstall chrome and reinstall.

Follow the steps how to unstill program and install.

To uninstall programs, go to Settings.

  On the Start menu, then select
  Settings.
  
• 
  Select System > Apps & features.
  
• 
  Select the program, then select Uninstall.
  Some apps that are built in to Windows can’t be uninstalled.
  
• 
  Follow the directions on the screen.

Getting this error on everything

I'd suggest installing the latest directX.

Other than that, weird errors like that would make me want to format too.
