Windows 10: Getting error while installing Ubuntu on virtual box in windows 10

Clean install of W10 not possible in Virtual Machine.

You can do clean install with windows 10 but it won't activate on Virtual Machine at least it didn't on mine. I followed the proper steps to do that.

Again I will repeat what I did step by step with some additions.

Step 1 Installed windows 7 retail on a virtual box, it activated without issue.
Step 2 changed the virtual box description to windows 10
Step 3 upgrade to windows 10 and it activated without issue
Step 4 backed up (So I could go back to it later)
Step 5 Removed windows 10.
Step 6 created a new virtual machine
Step 7 Installed clean windows 10 and it didn't activate and did that error code see below.


@night-hawk had a similar issue and got the same error code

Error code: 0xC004C003 with the specified product key being blocked

Night Hawk does it make a difference on what version of Virtual box that you are using?

My testing was done on Xubuntu using VirtualBox Graphical user interface version 4.3.26-Ubuntu r98988

dell XPS M1530
windows 7 Pro 64>Virtual box 3.2.6>Ubuntu 10.04
cat6 direct to Cox hub.
awardspace.com host
godaddy domain
kompozer HTML editor

when I use all the same FTP info (ftp host, username, password) in windows, it works and uploads to my server crazy fast. I delete those files from the server, then disconnect. then when I try connecting to my server using Kompozer in my virtualbox it "publishes" successfully but when I go to my web page, its still the host's 404 error page...is there something I have to do to configure virtual box to allow uploading?

Did you burn the image on the slowest setting possible? Pop your disc in and try checking the disc for errors (booting from the disc). If it has an error on it then you have a bad install.

I just googled your motherboard and ubuntu... This thread is on the list. XD

If it's a bad install I'd suggest a different version of Ubuntu or to try Fedora instead. I had nothing but trouble with 8.04.

Also, try your connections. Sounds stupid but maybe the CD sent it and the hard drive couldn't get it or some weird thing like that. (Talking out my rear end now, but it's worth a shot)
