Windows 10: getting framework stopped working in windows server 2016

After installing /upgrading an application,getting framework stopped working in windows server 2016 .Kindly advise

Does Windows 2016 Support Framework 1.1

HI,

We are just upgrading our Web Server from windows 2003 to windows 2016.

Our Application supports mostly 1.1 Framework. Im trying to build a Sample Application in Framework 1.1 in windows 2016 but its not supporting

Im just trying to use a dll which was developed in Framework 1.1 in ISAPI filter ,but its not working.Where as the same scenario works in windows 2003 server.How ever i download manually framework 1.1 and installed in the server(2016)

Any Suggestions???

Windows Server 2016 Upgrade

When updating from windows server 2012 R2 to server 2016, I'm not getting the step by step procedures where you can select keep file and apps and other steps. I just get the setup screen, which after couple of minutes it display a window to select what type of windows server you want to install.

Once selected it does a full install of windows server 2016, which re-images the C drive. Afterwards you have to re-install all your applications.

Any suggestions on why it doesn't go through the step by step procedures.

Does .Net Framework 4.6.1 work on Windows 2016?

Windows Server 2016 is preinstalled with .NET Framework 4.6.2, and also support these versions:

.NET Framework 4.7

.NET Framework 4.7.1

.NET Framework 4.7.2

Normally .NET Framework is downward compatibility, so your application developed in 4.6.1 will run on Windows Server 2016(with .NET Framework 4.6.2).
