  1. Getting information off an old seemingly dead drive.

I just did a SSD upgrade on my cousin’s desktop due to his 2013 HHD seemingly failing but still sorta functional if you count the recovery loading. I did a fresh Win 10 install with Media Creation Tool and was successful and also added an HDD to act like a removable for extra storage for games, etc. Now that everything working, how should we go about getting information off the old one? Is there a free program to pull the non-corrupt files off? Thanks in advanced.

    Is my PSU dead?

Some power supplies can be damaged turning them on, twicksisted suggestion, if there is no load on it. At least connect an old hard drive.

He was already able to power-up the supply using the motherboard.

Geeze, where did you guys learn your diagnostic steps? *Big Grin Getting information off an old seemingly dead drive. :D

  3. How to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive?

    I use the external drive
for File History and have a lot of information there. I want to restart the File History process on a new drive and place the previous File History drive off-site.

Please suggest the steps to stop File History on the old drive and start File History on a new drive.

    AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.
