Getting "like what you see?" on lock screen

One of my favorite features on Windows 10 is the rotation of photos of my lock screen, and I love the "Like what you see?" feature that lets me see where the photo was taken.

But sometimes, inexplicably, I don't get the "Like what you see?" prompt. It simply asks me to dismiss the lock screen to continue, and anything keystroke or click of the mouse (even a right click) takes me straight to my home screen.

I thought I'd be clever and cover up the camera so Windows Hello doesn't log me in, but it simply stops on "Looking for you." I was once able to get it to the "Sign-in options" prompt, but whether I enter a PIN or uncover the camera, again, I go straight to the home screen.

I've tried signing out and signing back in. I've tried hitting sleep. I've tried Windows-L.

    Surely I'm missing something simple.

  2. welcome screen is not asking if i like the spotlight choice

    Hi,

One of the possible reasons why your laptop is not asking if you like the spotlight choice might be because the Windows spotlight is not set as your lock screen background. To address this concern, we suggest enabling Windows spotlight as your lock screen
background. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Go to Settings.
    • Click on Personalization and then select Lock screen.
    • Under Background, click on the drop down menu and make sure to click on Windows spotlight.

If further assistance is needed, don't hesitate to reply on this thread.

    Lock Screen keeps changing

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Windows Spotlight picks the photos from Bing and displays them in the lock screen. I understand that you have set a picture and it is getting changed automatically.

I suggest you to follow the steps to select the Picture that you want to be displayed on the lock screen. Please follow the steps mentioned below to set a Picture to lock screen:

    1. Press and hold Windows + I key on the keyboard to open settings.
    2. Click on Personalization.
    3. Click on Lock screen.
    4. Click on the drop down under Background and select
      Picture.
    5. Click on Browse and select the picture that you want to set.

    Hope it helps.

Please reply with the status of the issue, we will be glad to help you further.
