    Getting mscms.dll error whenever opening pictures


    Hello,Recently when I was using Windows 10, I randomly got a system notification that there was a hard disk error. After restarting the computer, the computer did some kind of repair process before loading up Windows. After Windows loaded up, I notice that I can no longer open any pictures. Pictures by default open using the Photos program, and I always get this error message:C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\mscms.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software v

    Hi,



    Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.



    I understand that you are getting error when trying to open Pictures on your computer. I'll certainly assist you with the issue.



    However, please let us know:



    • May I know the default application that is set to open pictures?
    • Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer?



    It could be possible that the application set to open pictures is not working properly. If Photos app is set as the default application to open
    pictures, I would suggest you to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned in the article

    Fix problems with apps from Microsoft Store    .

    msvcr100.dll Error trying to open Unigine Valley

    Hey guys,

    So I installed Unigine Valley and when I tried to open it, I got this error "The progra, can't start because MSVCP100.dll is missing from your computer, Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".

    As recommended, I installed The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 (x64) package and am continuing to get the error. I have re-installed valley several times as well as the C++ package.

    Does anyone know how else to fix this error? Thanks *Smile Getting mscms.dll error whenever opening pictures :)

    What is this OpenAL32.dll error ?

    I get this error while trying to launch The Club game.

    I placed openal32.dll in windows\system directory but still get this error .

    When i try to install openal i get this error , even after reboot .
