Windows 10: getting rid of 'microsoft account problem' prompt

Hello,


For the past few months every time I boot up my computer I get 'microsoft account problem' prompt. I enter my PIN like it tells me too and then it says accounts are working and it's fine, but every time I boot up my computer this prompt comes up. I have not changed passwords recently. I don't even use my Microsoft account! I have used others suggestions troubleshoot and turning off Shared experiences NOTHING WORKED. So how do I get rid of this prompt!! Thanks.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

Cannot link/add my Microsoft Account to Local Account

Hello Ken,

Im using Win10 Build 1607 with all latest update.

I also run all related troubleshooters:

• Windows Update
• Store Apps (says i have to login in my microsoft account but thats the problem, i can't)
• Microsoft Accounts

No Problem found. Also the suggestions from Microsoft didnt helped.

To guide you in the right direction, I need more information from the computer by answering the following questions:

• When you say, delete my Microsoft Account do you wish to switch to Local account from Microsoft account?
• Do you wish to delete the any other accounts which has been added?

We cannot delete Microsoft account when we have logged in to the system. However we can switch to Local account from MS account.

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• 
  Click on search
  in taskbar and type account.
  
• 
  Click on Accounts.
  
• 
  Now, under Your account, click on
  Sign in with Local account instead.
  
• 
  Enter your Microsoft account password
  for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
  
• 
  Enter User name credentials for your the Local account
  and click OK.
  
• 
  Now, login to Local account.
