Windows 10: Getting six digit codes to verify email when signing into new windows 11 laptop. Needs 7

Hello,I'm only receiving 6 digit codes instead of 7.Please resolve!

How do I get a 7 digit code to reinstall windows 10

If you previously had Windows 10 installed and activated on that PC
during the installation process skip the steps which ask for a product key and select the option 'I am Reinstalling Windows 10 on this PC', and activation will not be an issue, your PC will have a digital entitlement stored on the
Microsoft Servers

The 7 digit code is used to confirm your ID with your Microsoft account

Please follow these steps:

• Open the Settings App, go to Accounts
• You should see the "Verify" link just above your picture
• Check your Email to see if Microsoft have sent you a 7 digit code
• Enter the 7 digit code when asked

 

7 digits code required to resetting MS account password but the MS keep on texting me a 6 digit code

Try to setup the new Dell laptop with Windows 11 recently, during the startup, one of the setup process is to use my MS account to synchronize all the devices under this account. it requires both my email address and password to authenticate. Since I forgot my email (hotmail) password, click forgot password link, I chose the MS to text me the authentication code. it kept on sending me a 6 digit code, but the Windows 11 setup process asking me to put in a 7 digit code and fail to authenticate the password resetting process. There is no other way to out of this step, so I am left with a no working computer if I can not pass this step. Tried several times and it maxed out. tell me to request again the next day. I am not optimistic the next day will send me a 7 digit code as requested, searched this topic but could not find any solutions, Anyone knows how to fix this?

 

Digitally signed driver not verified by Windows

This is a typical error you get if vendors are still only cross-signing their drivers.

Note: Please provide your exact Windows Version next time!

However, I'm assuming that your Windows 10 version is at least 1607 (aka Redstone 1, Anniversary Update) and you have Secure Boot enabled.

If my assumption is true, this driver won't work.

I've extracted the .sys and .cat files from the installer package and verified that these drivers do not have a Microsoft signature:





Since Windows 10 version 1607, a tightened kernel driver certification is enforced. The new rule is that all Windows 10 drivers must be digitally signed by Microsoft, no more cross signing! Kernel driver developers must now use an Extended Validation (EV) code signing certificate and submit their drivers to the Windows Hardware Developer Center Dashboard Portal where the drivers will be signed by Microsoft.
