Windows 10: gift code region

I bought a "Minecraft for Windows10"-gift and send the code to my gf, but she is in another region and cannot activate it.


Error Message:

GeoRestricted

WGUrTN/shkae073h.58.1.6.7


Is there any way to change the code's region or exchange the code for one that works in another region, if so, where do i do that?

I coudnt find any information for this on the internet.


What i did find is that you can change the region in the windows 10 settings, i tried that without success.

Any help is welcome.

might resort to redeeming the code and buy it on the targeted account itself...

Gift card code region error

hello, where did you get the gift card from ?

The reason may be that the gift card voucher code is for selected market. Reply me the language and region settings on your phone.

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.

 

Gift card code region error

I am trying to redeem a $25 voucher from nokia through the gift voucher app, but when I input the code for redemption I first get the value in NT (1000NT) before I get the error:

141107-2IPNBQAAAAAAAAAA-8e1cb654-ff04-48d6-ae7d-e884815f633b

I get the statement that my gift card code does not match the country or region of my account. I do not live in Taiwan so I do not know why I am getting the value in NT. And I do not live in the US either. Does anyone know how I can work around this?
