Windows 10: Giving a laptop to someone and want to do a system recovery so all my stuff is gone, but...

I am getting a new laptop and want to give my old one to a friend and want it cleaned off all my files, programs, etc. like out of box condition. It has Windows 11 on it.When I do the recovery it goes fine, but then won't go any further until I sign into my Microsoft account which in turn loads my files, etc from the cloud back to the computer.How do I get around that? Just want to give him a clean laptop.Any help would be very much appreciated.Thank you.

• When you say, "MY STUFF option or magnifying glass icon" exactly which option are you referring to?
• Have you made any changes to the system prior to this issue?

I suggest you to restore the system to the previous point and check if this helps.
To do so kindly follow the below given steps:
