    I am giving my PC to a friend. I am administrator and only my account is on it. How do I delete my account here in windows 10?

    So I am building a new gaming PC. I am going to give my current rig to a friend. I alrady bought a copy of Win10 Pro and so I wish to just reformat the drives and give the PC to my friend. Is there a way to transfer the Win10 Home edition license key to
    my friend?

    Hi Whipemkealoha, reset Windows 10, removing everything before giving that to your friend. That will securely remove your data and your friend will essentially have a new PC . ..

    Press the Shift Key and click Restart

    Your PC will boot into the Windows Recovery Environment

    Go to Troubleshoot - Advanced Options - Reset this PC

    Choose to keep nothing

    Then start the Reset

    PC Build Steps

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
