Windows 10: Glitch 1 (not a showstopper) News app Hangs system

Hi there
I was just trying out the News app from the menu - running as a VM (W10 x-64)

System Hangs -- since I'm not too bothered about Metro apps (yet) I am not to bothered about this.

Could I suggest a thread somewhere we we could compound any issues we've found with W10 otherwise we'll get loads of posts all over the place -- and then if someone finds a solution it's easier to track.

windows 10 create system image problem

I've got the exact same problem: The Create System Image backup program *thinks* that my 2TB storage drive is somehow a "system" drive, when it isn't. The issue is twofold:

1) Why does the backup program see this drive as a system drive; and

2) How do I fix this bug.

This is a SHOWSTOPPER for me.

 

Pointer error

The mouse pointer suddenly stops where i is and starts glitching and the laptop screen hangs until i press Ctrl key bringing system back to normal. Help.

 

Weather App hung up on me first time, had to shut system because of it. Tried again later and it took few minutes to display options after which it worked. One annoying thing though, if App hangs up it stops everything, cant turn it of, minimize or anything else until it decides to let me out of it either by timing out or if it decides to work.

 

lol it's funny that the first reported problems are related to apps rather then the desktop *Smile


OH NO WEATHER APP DOESN'T WORK HOW WILL I FIND OUT THE WEATHER!

 

Well it started working but it's a bit lazy. Maybe it was because of VM but internet is no slower in it so can't explain.

 

I considered test driving Weather/News, but then concluded that I'd be risking a system restart for damn Apps *Biggrin

 

Same problems here. Running windows 10 x64bit TP on VMware virtual pc. MSN news and MSN weather hangs and system becomes unresponsive.

 

Works just fine for me. But I'm not running it from a VM so that might account for that. When I did try to run some apps from VmWare I had issues but when I did the update to Win8.1 those issues went away.. odd.

Seems to be VMware problem. Installed Windows 10 (32bit) on Oracle VirtualBox virtual pc (no guest additions) and it works so far so good. next will try to install guest additions maybe it will break apps.
