Windows 10: Glitch while entering Direct Deposit 40001

While setting up direct deposit for the first time with code 40001, I encountered a persistent glitch. Despite following the provided instructions carefully, the system repeatedly failed to accept my bank details. Initially, I verified the account and routing numbers, ensuring they were correctly entered. However, every time I attempted to submit the form, an error message appeared, indicating a failure in processing my information.To troubleshoot, I cleared the browser cache and tried different browsers, but the issue persisted. I even attempted the process on both desktop and mobile devices.

Unfortunately the new process is that the money is directly deposited into your Microsoft Account as stated here "NEW! Microsoft Rewards has enabled direct deposit. Now when you redeem points for an Xbox Gift Card the value will be directly deposited into your
Microsoft account. You’ll no longer receive a code in your inbox that you’ll have to take to Microsoft.com to apply yourself. I hope you find this information helpful in resolving the issue.

But if is within your Microsoft Family you can try to transfer reward points.

  Now check for the version of Direct x.

Error 800 40001

My Lenovo laptop Windows 10 wont let me past login. I have no recovery disc. Says wrong password but I have logged in from other devices. a message said no user profile & error 800 40001. Cant access anything using a borrowed laptop to try get help
