Windows 10: glitch with word

Microsoft word on my laptop is not working. each time i click on it to start a new document, it re-opens the last document that I used, and stops working after that. I try and exit out but it will not exit. I also try and use task manager and it does not close the app. I have to restart my laptop every time to be able to close word. I also try and exit and it wont let me, or it will not allow me to save my work, or do anything. It seems as if it is frozen.

I understand that you want to disable word suggestions when you type any word. I’ll certainly help you with the steps.



To disable text suggestions, I would suggest you to refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows Logo key + I, to open
   Settings.
   
2. Click on Devices, and click on
   Typing on the left pane.
   
3. Now, under Typing toggle the switch to off for
   Show text suggestions as I type on the software keyboard.
   
4. Under Hardware keyboard, toggle the switch to on for
   Show text suggestions as I type.

Word glitch

When I added a few words in the Merlo font in size 10 (the words are surrounded by a little bit of light grey) the navigation pane glitches when I press enter or get close to the word. It makes it completely unreadable. But it only triggers sometimes so
that is no problem but when you start using the navigation pane a section of it becomes unreadable. it is quite random so it may not right away.

(edit) it only happens when you click on the section with the Merlo font words in it.

I hope this can be fixed.

 

Unable to edit Word documents in Windos 10

Word, Excel and PowerPoint are Office applications. There are different Office versions. You may follow the steps below to check which version of Office you are using.

• 
  Go to File Then select Account.
  
• 
  Click on About Word (Which have symbol of question mark).
  

I also suggest you to check multiple versions of Microsoft Office is installed or not in your system. You may follow the steps below:

• 
  Go to Control panel.
  
• 
  Click on programs and features.
