Windows 10: globe in taskbar

EVERY single time i have turend on my VPN and used if briefly, after i turn if off MS has the globe in the system tray and tells me it can;t get a connection and eventually it does, My laptop is also connected to my wifi when it does that.I don't even use my VPN Norton because of this. it goes on and on and on and then eventually stops doing this but it doesn't even resolve in a day.What is the problem and how to stop this. I'm sick of it .It brings up the diagnostic window and there is NOTHING to diagnose because there is NOTHNG wrong. and please do not ask me to take it up with Norton. No

Globe Icon in Taskbar

Hello, I recently just got a PC, and there’s a globe icon on the taskbar instead of the wifi connectivity icon. When ever I press it, it takes me to ‘network and internet settings’ but then when I click ‘show available networks’, nothing happens. Does
anyone know how to fix this

Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

• 
  Click on the search bar on the taskbar.
  
• 
  Type system icons.
  
• 
  Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.
