    Gmail Can't Open Hangouts; Not That the Computer Owner Wants to!


    My friend has a new HP Laptop computer with Gmail on it.

    For some reason, it keeps telling her it can't get into Hangouts, or something like that. She's never used Hangouts, but when she tries to download her email, it just sits there and spins. She has to close the computer and reboot.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    I have no audio available with windows 109 now. recently installed. no zoom, skype, gmail or hangout audio.

    how to get to the microphone for audio on skype, zoom, gmail or hangouts. any suggestions . I am not a tech savvy person and the language is like Russian dialect to me.....

    Google Hangouts in Gmail Broke After Today's Windows Update

    May 12, 2020

    We get back home early this evening to find windows 10 ver. 1903 wanting to restart the computer to complete it's update. The update went smoothly. We have a voip phone, google hangouts in gmail. When we tried to place a call, the dialer box pops up normally but then the box immediately closes. Call doesn't go through. I placed a call TO my google voice phone number from my cell and the call goes through. The dial box opens on the gmail page and stays open but no outgoing call is possible.

    Can't say for sure that the issue lies with the windows update because i did not test the phone before the update.......i'm tempted to restore to an earlier point but thought i'd bring it to you guys first. Thanks
