    That is the heart of the problem. The Windows Phone Mail app uses local storage for drafts, which means that Gmail can't see drafts from the phone. The Mail app can't see drafts unless you sync the "All Mail" folder and still doesn't recognize Gmail drafts
    as actual draft messages.

    The problem is that Gmail and the Windows Phone Mail app handle drafts differently. I don't know where the Mail app stores drafts, but it appears to be stored on the phone itself. Gmail stores draft messages online, in a folder named [Gmails]\Drafts.
    Google has instructions on how to configure mail applications to use that folder: Choose your IMAP email client settings for Gmail - Gmail Help The Mail app on the phone does not allow
    you to configure that folder.

    If you need to have access to draft messages on the phone and in the browser, then you might want to look for a 3rd party gmail app. I would start with this search http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/search?q=gmail

    Gmail drafts + WP8: not syncing

    I have drafts in my gmail and have drafts in mail app (default mail app, I believe) on my phone. And I can't get drafts from one place to another, syncing does nothing. Is it supposed to be this way or there is a problem?
