Windows 10: gmail wont work with outlook express 6

so, ive been trying to get gmail to work with outlook express 6, but when i try to send a message im using pop servers, it just asks for authentication forever! ive looked at other questions and one of them said to not use spa, it resolved something but it brought up this... does anyone know what to do or if it is just impossibleps: please dont ask me to update...

GUIDE:How to transfer contacts from Microsoft Outlook to Gmail

I'm sitting here in the office, its the end of the year in the school system, and several employees transferring to alternative counties. With this it brings loads of transferring contacts to take with them from their company phone. Well, this one in particular sparked a guide idea. So here it is, How to transfer Outlook contacts to your Gmail account.


Step 1: Sign in to your outlook account.
step 2 In the top left hand corner click File > Import/Export > Export to file > Browse to desired place to save your file > export. Be sure you export the file as .csv (comma separated values)
Step 3 Log into your Gmail account
Step 4 Select 'Contacts' In the subsection you will see a 'Import' button on the right-hand side. Click it.
Step 5 Browse to the location where you saved it > Open it > Click Import.



I would have provided pictures, but I use neither Outlook or Gmail. Hope someone somewhere gets some use from this. *Toast :toast:

Activesync problems with Outlook express 6

I'm have an Ipaq rw5915 running Mobile 5.0.

The activesync 4.5 application works fine for moving files but will not

recognize Outlook express 6 applications during installation or after. When I attempt to check

outlook apps for sync in the desktop program I'm notified to install Outlook



During install I'm notified that I must reinstall outlook to be able to sync its applications.



MY PC is running XP with SP-2 and all updates are current. Outlook Express 6 works well.



Running the Activesync troubleshooter showed: "To syncronize E mail, calender, appointments and contacts with your PC Microsoft Outlook XP (or later) must be installed.

No additional known issues have been found.



Note that Outlook Express 6 is my primary E mail.



Any suggestions? It would be nice to Sync Outlook.

Outlook Express not able to log into Gmail

you may have to change a few things like i did to get thunderbird working with gmail, ie, Change the Authentication type from 'Normal password' to 'Oauth2' for your Gmail account(s).
Do this for both, the incoming server (POP), and the outgoing server (SMTP).
hope this works for you in outlook express!
