Windows 10: Gmails stick in Outbox of Mail for WIN10 client while other servers are OK

I have been asked to remove my original post and re-insert it here.

Can anyone help me with this?

Gmails stuck in Outbox Mail for WIN10

HP Stream 13 WIN-10 - Several other emails Virgin, Outlook, Talktalk all work OK but Gmail will soon block its OUTBOX. Only solution is to re-install it. Works for one or two days then messages again stuck in Outbox. Not easy to re-capture or delete these mails but even when done the problem persists until you re-install.
If I go direct to Gmail server and all is OK.
It is just Mail for Windows Client that plays me up on Gmail.
I see several others reporting similar things but no permanent solution. Is there one?
What is the cause of this? Very aggravating indeed.

Remove Gmail's Outbox from Mail in Windows 10

The Outbox Folder temporarily holds messages that you send until Windows Mail
delivers them, where they are held until sent.

Gmail doesn't have such a folder, since messages just enter a "sending" state,
until send is successful, and when done are to be found under "Sent mail".

So Outbox is just a functional box that denotes a "sending" state,
and does not relate to any folder on Gmail.
This is just the way Mail works, and messages are not supposed to stay long
in the Outbox.

Outbox itself cannot be removed, and doesn't need to be.

I am using Mail app in Windows 10 to sync with my Gmail account via IMAP. When I add the account, Mail automatically creates several folders like Inbox, Sent Mail, All Mail, Drafts, Trash, as well as Outbox. Gmail does not have Outbox for some time now.

So, I get this warning about IMAP settings



Of course, I followed the instructions and made sure all my folders are IMAP accessible. I wonder if the warning is related to the fact Outbox does not exist in Gmail.

 

Outbox not sending mail

I did find the outbox. It went to the top of the list. However, I still can't send mail. Any suggestions?
