Windows 10: Gmx mail will not send

My GMX mail account will not send on my win10 mail app. I can receive mail but cannot send. Other mail accounts work fine. I have tried deleting and re-installing account to no avail. I have tried every variation of smtp settings recommended from GMX and online helpers, again, to no avail.


Any help much appreciated.

Hi,

I use GMX for emails. I am using windows mail on my new laptop. When i create an email it sits in the outbox and doesnt send. No attachments so not a file size issue.

I can access GMX on line and send emails fine.

I have removed and reinstalled the GMX account on windows mail.

Can you please help / advise. I am a tech novice.

See this video for how to set up GMX mail on Windows 10 Mail app. You'll want to first Delete the GMX listing in Mail Settings > Manage Accounts:

I'll give you all other fixes for the Mail apps so that at least something will work. Even if you've tried some please go through in sequence as possible:

What often works is to go to Windows 10 Mail Settings (gear icon at bottom of Inbox) then Manage Accounts, then choose the problem account(s), then Delete the Account.

Restart PC and retrace that path to add the account back. Make sure the Sync settings are as desired for how far back you want mail Downloaded from, whether to include Calendar and Contacts (People app). See this setup guide to make sure you get everything

If that's not enough then Reset the Mail app at Settings > Apps and Features > Mail & Calendar > Advanced Options > Reset. Restart PC. Try adding the accounts back to see if it works now.

If that fails to fix it then Re-register Mail & Calendar app from Option 2 here:

Finally if nothing else works uninstall the Mail and Calendar app App Settings above, restart PC, then reinstall it from MS Store Hub (three dots at top right of Store app) > My Library.

If you have broader performance problems go over this checklist to make sure the install is set up correctly, optimized for best performance, and any needed repairs get done:

Start with Step 4 to turn off Startup freeloaders which can conflict and cause issues, then Step 7 to check for infection the most thorough way, then step 10 to check for damaged System Files. Then continue with the other steps to go over your install most
thoroughly.

If nothing else helps then run a Repair Install by installing the Media Creation Tool and choosing from it to Upgrade Now. This solves many problems and will also bring it up to the latest version which you need anyway and by the most stable method.

E71 Email and GMX mail

Has anybody had success accessing gmx mail (IMAP) with Nokia client?

I can access other IMAP mails (.Mac, MobileMe) without problems but my gmx account just doesn't seems to work. If anybody has had success with gmx I'd be pleased to know what settings have been used
