  1. Go from OEM 8 to 10 TP to free RTM license without reverting/install?

Currently I dual-boot 8.1 and 10 TP, my computer comes with Windows 8 and therefore is eligable for a free upgrade to 10. I'm happy with the stability of Windows 10 TP, so I'm asking this:

Can I upgrade my OEM license Windows 8.1 install to the Windows 10 TP, then jump straight to a licensed RTM and have it activated without having to first revert to 8.1 or perform a clean reinstall?

    Thanks.

    :)

How to get free upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 10 TP?

No, that is not correct. The first time I downloaded Windows 10 technical preview I was on my Linux machine. I then installed Windows 10 TP in a virtual machine. So having Windows 10TP doesn't require a valid Windows 7 or 8 license.

At which point in your Windows 10 TP installation were you asked for any license?

The TP was free, without any restrictions or license constraints.

  3. How to get free upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 10 TP?

    Hi Andrei,

thanks for your suggestion, but I will try my luck with second option, as long as it is possible to upgrade from TP to RTM, since I had not experience any major issue with every build of TP.

And I'm agree with Dennis, if I can installed the Win 10 TP means that I have the correct Win 8.x license, there is no point that I should start the process from beginning.

  4. Go from OEM 8 to 10 TP to free RTM license without reverting/install?

That would probably work if the licenses were the same. I've got the same setup but have 8.1 Core and 10 Pro and my understanding is that's a no go.

Yes, it's been stated several times that you will be able to upgrade from Win 10 TP to Win 10 RTM.

  6. I'm not sure it's bee perfectly clear that you can upgrade from TP to RTM while switching to the free license from having 8.1
