going back to a previous version of windows

I'm thinking of going back to a previous version of windows right before the creators update (i think its the same as 1703). I don't like all the changes it caused, mainly not being able to rearrange my files the way i want to, that's a must have for me.
Since i have never gone back to a previous version of windows after an update i don't know what it entails.
Can someone please tell me how this will affect my PC, files, etc or anything.

Will i lose files that i have between now and the update (photos, movies, music, browser history, bookmarks etc).
I don't wanna lose any files or even my internet history or bookmarks.

Just to be sure can someone also PLEASE explain exactly how to do this as well. I think i know how to, but i'm still a noob so i don't want to make a big mistake.
    Thank you for any help!

    :)

Going back to a previous Windows 10 version problem

    Thank you for the reply.

Unfortunately it did not work. The Privacy was already toggled off. I tried the recovery with it on and off, as well as with the "Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart."
on and off but I still got the same message appearing.

When I tried, similarly, to go back to the previous Windows 10 version through the Advanced Recovery Options menu, it did not work and this message appeared:

"We ran into a problem and won't be able to take you back to the previous version of Windows. Try resetting your PC instead (Troubleshoot > Reset this PC)"

    Any other solution possible?

    Thank you

    Try this work around.

    Open Start > Settings > Accounts > sign-in options

    Scroll down to Privacy

    Toggle off

Use my sign-in info to automatically finish setting up my device after an update or restart.

Attempt the rollback again. If that does not work, try initiating rollback from the sign in screen:

    Log out

At the Sign In screen, hold down the shift key on your keyboard while clicking the Power button on the screen

Continue to hold down the shift key while clicking Restart

Continue to hold down the shift key until the Advanced Recovery Options menu appears

    Click Troubleshoot

    Click Advanced options

Click Go back to the previous version of Windows

going back to a previous version of windows

As far as I can tell the version of Win10 on one of my computers is Version 1703 Build 15063, seems to be the Creators Update. I also have the RTM Version 1607 Build 14393 on a computer and the Insider Preview Version 1703 Build 16199 on a computer. I would be inclined to assume going back to the previous Version would work if an Upgrade had been done less than 10 days ago, otherwise a clean install would be necessary which usually removes everything.

And the Upgrade to the CU may require some of the updates you've already done.

If, as Berton said, you got the Creators Update less than 10 days ago then you should still have the option to go back to your previous version. This will restore your system from the Windows.old folder. This is something I have done previously. You will still have all your new documents (photos, movies, music, etc) that you saved since getting Creators, but I'm not sure what may happen to recent bookmarks etc. - they may or may not be retained (it wasn't something I checked when I did it).

If you have deleted the windows.old folder yourself (or it has automatically been deleted when your 10 days were up) then you cannot go back. A clean install of the old version would be your only option - unless, that is, you have made system images of your old system.

If you do have a system image to restore you will loose all documents that are newer than the system image, so back them up first.

I tried to go back to a previous build but for some reason i can't go past build 1703 (Creators Update). It hasn't even been a month since i updated, i tried many ways to see if i could go past but i can't.
The main reason why i need to is that the crack "Enable or Disable Auto Arrange in Folders in Windows 10" doesn't work and manually arranging my files is one of my biggest must haves. If anyone knows a crack to make this happen after the creators update please show me how to.
Another question that i have is = Is there any way i can download an earlier build that will overwrite or do away with the creators update. If there is a way can someone please show me how exactly to go about it and where to download it
Thank you for any help and advice.
