  1. Going into fullscreen causes audio to cut out, switching audio output seems to fix it

Hello, I'm currently having a problem over multiple platforms when it comes to video playback. Whenever I go fullscreen it plays for a few seconds before the audio cuts out and then the video slows slightly. This is through different browsers and also through the regular media player with files on my hard drive. I have noticed that if I change the audio playback device from the hdmi to the computer's internal speakers the problem corrects itself and I can play the file just fine in full screen but when I switch back to the hdmi audio it repeats the problem. I have tried different hdmi cords, t

  2. How to stop audio from cutting out on the drivers end?

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

I know you're experiencing audio cutting out on your device. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

    1. Update audio drivers: Ensure that you have the latest audio drivers installed on your device. You can visit the manufacturer's website or the support page for your specific audio device model and download the latest drivers available. Install the updated drivers and see if it resolves the audio cutting out issue.
    2. Check audio cables and connections: If you're using external speakers or headphones, make sure the cables are properly connected to both the audio source and the output device. Try unplugging and re-plugging the cables to ensure a secure connection. If you're using wireless headphones or speakers, check the Bluetooth or wireless connection to ensure it's stable.
    3. Adjust audio settings: Sometimes, certain audio settings can cause interruptions or audio cutouts. Follow these steps to adjust the audio settings on your device:
      • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom right corner of the screen) and select "Playback devices."
      • In the Sound window, select your audio device and click on "Properties."
      • Go to the "Advanced" tab and try changing the default format of the audio. You can experiment with different sample rates and bit depths to see if it improves the audio stability.
    4. Disable audio enhancements: Some audio enhancements or effects can interfere with the audio playback and cause interruptions. To disable audio enhancements, follow these steps:
      • Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray and select "Playback devices."
      • In the Sound window, select your audio device and click on "Properties."
      • Go to the "Enhancements" tab and check the box that says "Disable all enhancements." Click "OK" to save the changes.

  4. Going into fullscreen causes audio to cut out, switching audio output seems to fix it

Audio cuts out when I start playing games.

    Hi Covo,

I'm glad disabling the microphone in the "recording" tab helped! It suggests that there might be a conflict between the headset's audio output and its microphone input, causing the audio to cut out when both are active simultaneously.

If after trying these steps the issue still persists, it might be worth reaching out to Sony support for further assistance. They may have specific troubleshooting steps or updates that can help resolve the issue with the microphone enabled.

    Your Sincerely
