Windows 10: Going through BSOD Armageddon, PLEASE HELP !!!

I started getting BSOD stop codes on the first of January and nothing before that day, the Laptop was working fine with no problems, I hadn't installed anything new since I first got it last year and I hardly save anything on it, everything goes into my external hard drive so there's always space on the C hard drive but all of a sudden I just started getting The Blue screens of death.


I ran the Check Disk command and nothing was resolved, I ran the Sfc scan and it didn't detect anything, I ran a full virus scan and nothing was detected then I finally ran a memory diagnostics scan and came back with a hardware problem and that I had to contact the manufacturer, the scan didn't show me the root cause if the BSOD stop codes or what the actual problem was so I really don't know what to do, the laptop is a second hand laptop that was refurbished but I only got it last year in March.


The stop codes happen within 5 - 10 minutes after I turn on the laptop.


Stop codes seen :

Kernel security check failure Today happened twice.

Reference by pointer multiple times 12th Jan till now

Service expection 14th Jan

Not less or equal multiple times started Jan 1st till now

Memory management. New started on 14th

KMODE Exception not handled New Jan 15th

DPC watchdog violation new Jan 15th Jan

What should I do ?

Welcome to the 10forums

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble and increase the boot time.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
   • Double click the executable to open it
   • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please follow this suggestion for the BSOD

1. Please open BitDefender and go to the modules,
2. Go to the firewall settings,
3. Uncheck 'Block port scans in the network',
4. Reboot your system <-- IMPORTANT

 

BSOD- atikmpag.sys

This is most likely due to an installation/upgrade error with ATI driver's. I suggest doing DriveSweeper and the following:

• Drivesweeper all drivers & in Safe Mode
• Unistall all drivers that aren't used in DriveSweeper (CCC Profiler Updates, MSI AfterBurner, anything related to ATI that use's it's drivers.)
• After you do this, the first thing you need to do is go into Device Manager and Unistall your ATI Drivers

Once your done, restart the PC and then try installing the latest drivers.


I had several issues with this in the past, but I overcame it with logical reasoning and whenever I have a driver issue, I just use these steps and I always overcome the problem.
