Windows 10: Going to buy a computer, how much gb do I need?

I have an old computer I'm using right now since my old mac died. I want to switch to windows now, and I'm unsure how much storage I need. I know for a fact under 32 gb will be WAY too little since I will download some games and stuff. I was thinking 50-100 gb, is that good?

First computer build

What parts did you already buy? the ones listed in red or green? also, I think you should go with any asus board over gigabyte anyday. my friends say they have problems w/ their gb boards...just a suggestion tho. *Smile

Lets start with what you're going to use this computer for, not what you want to put in it.

Rules/steps to building a computer (in chronological order):
First rule: Determine what your needs are.
Second rule: Define your budget.
Third rule: Pick parts.
Fourth rule: Review parts several times.
Fifth rule: Buy said parts.
Sixth rule: Build it.

You are on rule/step 1. Go through the list until you're done.

 

Buying a computer

Everything you listed is fine, but you should go AM2. So, get the same processor in AM2, the board you suggested is fine. DDR2 memory, DDR2 800 is best, and a 7600GT or X1800GTO would be better than that X1600, and if it's too much, I would go with an X850XT. Besides that, it's all good.
