Windows 10: Google Chrome suddenly stopped working on my Windows 10 computer

Hello, Yesterday, I had an issue with Google Chrome where it suddenly stopped functioning. I did the typical run through uninstalling and reinstalling many times, but it looks like it has a compatibility problem now where Google Chrome automatically identifies my system as Windows 8 it's not every time I redownload it. So it does download and I can see web page previews when I hover over the icon on my toolbar but it won't ever expand into a full page anymore. I wasted most of yesterday doing all the typical suggestions and nothing has worked. Can someone help me?

Windows 10 - Suddenly today Google Chrome has stopped working, won't even open main page, M'soft message say prgramme incompatability but it has worked fine in Windows 10 since August last year..........HELP needed

I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling but Chrome won't even install from the download now

Thank you for your response with the current update on the issue.

As suggested in the previous post, I recommend you to first uninstall the google chrome browser from the computer.

After that try to download the google chrome browser software from the google website. Then try to reinstall google chrome browser software in compatible mode where you will install the software in previous version of Windows.

I suggest you to follow the steps provided in the previous post to reinstall the google chrome browser.
