Windows 10: Google Maps

Trying to use google maps and map details are 'blacking out' - the screen is still on as are some buttons but the map vanishes. Is this happening to anyone else.

Favourites from Ovi Maps to Google Maps?

Google synch the favorite item from phone once only and this is the reason new stared location in ovi are not taken to google map. To update the new stared item from ovi to google maps, go settings in google maps > you will see "Reset Google Maps".> please
press this and reset the maps. after reset is over, Googla Maps will fetch all phone stared favorites (from OVI) to Google maps. Now login to google account thru google maps, then you will find both the phone favorites and google favorites.

 

Google earth in N8

you have tried to install the windows version of google maps onto your n8 that runs Symbian OS. there is no google maps for the symbian version, but you can download google maps from
www.google.com/maps .open this link from the n8 browser and there will be a link to download google maps. you can get a view of google satellite imagery

 

I tried a few others, all ok, just google.
