    Going over the EDGE.

    Yes, I have carried out ALL the fault finding written in the Microsoft Forums and in the end I uninstalled and reinstalled EDGE. The problem persists on several devices so I am sure that the issue is with EDGE and not my equipment.

    I 'Googled' - 'EDGE Faults' and there is a catalogue of similar complaints.

    It is EDGE that is a fault as Chrome, Safari and other browsers work perfectly.

    Choosing where to save downloads in Microsoft Edge

    Microsoft Edge is half-baked and unfinished. It lacks several basic features; one of which is the ability to choose your download location. Sadly, you cannot specify the download location for each file.

    I would switch to a more capable, finished browser such as Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox until the mess that is Microsoft Edge is sorted out.
