Windows 10: Got a new microsoft account but my c drive is already full

So first i couldnt log into my account so i made a new one on the same laptop. On the old one i had a lot downloaded but on my new one i have nothing. But now the C drive is still just as full on this account as on the old one and i dont know cause i have nothing downloaded or anything on this new account. So i think that my old downloads are still on this drive but i cant delete them cause i cant get into my old account. Can please somebody help?

How to replace old Microsoft Account with a new Microsoft Account

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. I understand your concern and I am glad to assist you.

I would suggest you to switch your Microsoft account to a Local account first and then switch back with a new Microsoft account. Please refer to the following steps:

Step 1:

• Type Manage your accounts
  in the search bar and click on it
• Click on "sign in with a local account instead"
• Press next and complete the process.
• If you do not have a local account, leave the credentials blank and proceed.

Step 2: Now, on the newly converted Local account, follow these steps to add a new MSA.

1. In the Start search, type "Manage your accounts" and press Enter.

2. Choose 'Accounts'.

3. Click on "sign in with a local account instead"

4. Enter the Microsoft account ID and Password and click Next.

Login with Microsoft Account Instead not working

Hi Sunil,

This issue could be caused due to some corrupt user profile files. I would suggest you to create a new admin user account and then check if you have any issues switching it to a Microsoft account. If it was successful, then the old user account could be
corrupt. In this case, I would suggest you to try the following steps to migrate the files from the old user profile:

You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to complete these steps, including the new account you just created.

• Log on as a user other than the new user you just created or the user that you want to copy files from.
• Open the My Documents folder in
  File Explorer. Double-click the hard disk drive that Windows is installed on (it's usually your C: drive), double-click Users, double-click the folder with the name of your account, and then double-click My
  Documents.
• Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.

If you don't see the Tools menu, press Alt.

• Click the View menu and select the chick box against 'Hidden items' to show hidden files.
• Locate the C:\Users\Old_Username folder, where C is the drive that Windows is installed on, and
  Old_Username is the name of the profile you want to copy files from.
• Select all of the files and folders in this folder, except the following files:
  
  • Ntuser.dat
  • Ntuser.dat.log
  • Ntuser.ini
• Right click, and then click Copy.
• Locate the C:\Users\New_Username
  folder, where C is the drive that Windows is installed on, and New_Username is the name of the new user profile you created.
• Right click, and then click Paste.
• Log off, and then log back on as the new user.

If you have e‑mail messages in an e‑mail program, you must import your e‑mail messages and addresses to the new user profile before you delete the old profile. If everything
is working properly, you can delete the old profile.

 

Edge Search Does Not Permit Change of Region


I got these suggestions from the Microsoft Community forum.No. 1 worked for me:

Thank you for posting the query on Microsoft Community. I am glad to assist you on this.
We have reproduce the issue here and we are able to access non-regional search for google using Microsoft Edge.
I would suggest you to try the below steps and check if it helps.
Step 1:
Clear browsing data option of Microsoft Edge and check if you face the issue. To do so perform the steps below.

1. Click on the More actions icon next to the feedback icon present on top right corner of the Project Spartan homepage.
2. Select Settings and click on Choose what to clear.
3. Check the boxes Browsing history, Cookies and saved website data and Cached data and files and click on Clear.

Step 2:
I suggest you to create a new user account and check if the issue occurs.

1. Go to Settings.
2. Choose Accounts and then select Family and other users.
3. Select add someone else on this PC.
4. Enter a user name and hit next.
5. Click on Finish.
6. Sign out from the current Account and Log into the new account.

Step 3:
It could also happen because of network issue. I suggest you to try with different network connection and check if it helps.
