Windows 10: got a notice I could upgrade to win 11 on my surface pro 4 and started the upgrade.

got a notice I could upgrade to win 11 on my surface pro 4. I started the upgrade then realized I it shouldn't have started it. I now have the install constantly trying. After a reboot I get an upgrade failed message. How can I back off this upgrade and keep win 10 current?

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.

 

Upgrade to win 11

A notice showed up in my Win-10 Settings / Windows Updates three days ago, telling me I could proceed with the Windows 11 upgrade. I updated my Surface Pro 7 (i5) the next day to Windows 11. No problems at all. I clicked on the button to download and install, and it took about 80 minutes, start to finish. Everything went very smoothly.

Are you getting any error messages? What happens when you launch the upgrade?

 

Windows 10 Pro did not upgrade to Windows 11 Pro

Hi! First time poster here!

I have a Surface Pro 7 which originally came with Windows 10 Home. I bought an upgrade to Windows 11 Pro on the Microsoft Store app ages ago.

I've recently upgraded to Windows 11 but it's not upgraded to Windows 11 Pro.

I've searched online and noticed some posts talking about the Activation Troubleshooter, but this isn't showing up for me on Windows.

Does anyone have any other suggestions or pointers? Thanks!
