Windows 10: Got a virus on my pc,resseting wont work

so basically,I tried downloading a free cracked version of after effects 2424 pro,when I downloaded it,no nottification of virus,then I extracted the file,the windows security tracked down a threatthe virus,then my pc froze,after a bit it kinda worked but the screen went blue,then I turned it off,then it wouldnt open,it would just automatic repairt or something, then tried booting into bios,it worked,tried everything but after 2 hours,it randomly booted into my windows 10,I searched the file with the virus,deleted it,and then after,I went to the settings,Windows Update doesnt work,Windows Se

I was hoping someone could give me a list of step by step instructions you use as a guide to clean virus, malware...etc. so I can keep my PC clean if it gets infected.

Then its not a virus, i thought its a little strange that a virus was still going in safe mode. But i dont know what to suggest it could be? Are you using the same pc to connect to the internet, just with a linux partition?
