    Got any ideas why my laptop will not sleep?


    I close the laptop lid, the screen blanks, but I can see from continued disk activity that the laptop has not entered Sleep state. In a few minutes, battery charge goes from 100% to 82%.


    What would cause this? Can it be corrected?

    Laptop with broken screen How much?

    I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

    Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd

    Windows 10 laptop doesn't go to sleep when wifi is on

    Run these steps below:

    Method 1: Follow the steps:

    Method 2: I suggest you to run in-built Power troubleshooter and check. Follow the steps:

    Method 3: If the above method doesn’t help, I would suggest you to reset and restore all of the default Power Plans back with their default settings. Follow the steps.

    Method 4: Lastly I suggest you check your chipset and video drivers, try checking for the updates from the manufacturer's website and update all the necessary drivers, i.e the chipset and video drivers

    Let me know if the issue is resolved or if you require further assistance.
