Windows 10: Got new battery but cannot recognize or too high design capacity

Hello

I just changed my battery for laptop.

It’s working but the charging meter doesn’t increase from 0.


Battery report shows design capacity is -1 and an error saying “battery capacity unknown ~ could be a bios problem”.


A third party appsmarter battery shows design capacity as like 4 billions? numbers don’t make sense.


The battery and laptop both are LG.


I tried the manual calibration changing battery plan, still didn’t work, and in bios menu there was no power option.

high capacity battery for nokia 6300

Hi

Can someone please advise me on a compatible high capacity battery for the nokia 6300. At the moment I have a BL 4C which came with the phone. Does a high capacity battery really make a noticable difference in battery life ? Which one can I use in this
phone ? Many thanks

 

Windows 10 battery percentage of design or full charge capacity?

Is the battery indicator in Windows 10 a percentage of the design capacity or the current full charge capacity of the battery ?

ie. if my battery capacity dropped from say, 60mWh to 30mWh from wear, would the indicator show 50% or 100% when the battery is fully charged at its current capacity of 30mWh ?

EDIT: to describe my case, I have an XPS 13 9350 whose battery has a design capacity of 56mWh. over the past few weeks, the battery percentage in windows stops at 55 with "plugged in not charging". running

shows that the current full charge capacity is about 41mWh, meaning at 55% I'm getting about 20mWh on a "full" charge. the surprising thing is Dell Command Power Manager shows my battery to be in excellent health.

Your full charge capacity is higher than the design capacity ?

That is certainly unexpected.

To me, it means that there is something wrong with
either the design capacity or the
full charge capacity since the design capacity should always be equal or higher than the full charge capacity.

Also, what is odd in your report is the cycle count, which is very high for a new tablet.

All in all, we can see here that there are issues with those managed
battery values, and Windows provides no means of fixing that.

That is the reason for this post, which still stands today without any proper answers.
