Hello,Win10 Pro 22H2, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th Gen updated from original Lenovo image 2004/20H1.I wanna implement several limitations against Microsoft Edge browser using policies described in official documentation. In that docs description points to regedit and group policy as well and it looks it should work similar. However, I found that all those policy modifications I mage thru gpedit.msc have been written to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdgeinstead of HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Microsoft\Edge. Disabling inPrivate in Edge through group policy

    Arul,

You might have missed what I asked: How to disable Edge's InPrivate option THROUGH GROUP POLICY.

Kosh's solution from the link above, through editing registry, does work, when applied to Edge! Here is what I did: in registry, one should have DWORD EnableInPrivateBrowsing with value 0, under HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge\Privacy
key. If the Privacy key does not exist (it did not in my registry), then create one by right click on MicrosoftEdge key and select New > Key. After you reboot the computer, the InPrivate option will still exist in the Edge's ellipsis menu, it won't be grayed
out, you will be able to click on it, but no new window will open, and no InPrivate session will start.

Set policy settings in the registry

There is no such key "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge", but there is "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\MicrosoftEdge" key.

DWORD or String?! I think this trick works for Edge legacy not for Chromium version 92!
