Restricted Groups or Control Panel Settings in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Dear Expert, I have some problems that I don't understand, our previous system admin deployed the GPO to grant the group the Built in/ administrators....     Dear Expert, I have some problems that I don't understand, our previous system admin deployed the GPO to grant the group the Built in/ administrators. GPO_1: It was using Restricted Groups, and as I understand this GPO will restrict the group only can have members by this GPO GPO_2: it was using control panel settings to add another group as administrators. and both GPO are attached to the same OU After the GPO_1&GPO_2 is applied, the group that the Restricted Groups added shows normally on the target PC, but without admin access. I can not access the PC by \\machinename\c$, but the

    Restricting Settings and Control Panel for specific login

    Thank you both. Two Questions:

    #1: If using group policy to restrict settings and control panel, if i do this on one PC will it affect all or do i need to go to each one individually and do it. Also, do i do this logged in on the account i want to restrict and enter admin credentials
    or do i login as Admin?

    2) If using registry - same questions as above and will that also restrict settings too.

    i work at a call center and they all use the same login, this is the account i want them to be able to change nothing. They change colors, desktops etc.

    Control Panel GPO

    I am trying to restrict what Control Panel items my users are able to see and access. I have enabled the Show only the specified Control Panel items. I have added the Canonical names for the Keyboard,
    Mouse, Device and Printers, File Explorer Options, and Display. All the Control Panel items show up with the exception of the Display icon. I am entering Microsoft.Display as the canonical name. I am running Windows 2012 R2 server. The desktop is running Windows
